This year my heart is more thankful than in the past. In the midst of trials, sorrows, changes and a few moments of joy, there is so much for which to be thankful. Thankful…
- For my only hope, Jesus
- For a Savior who remains faithful, even when I don’t
- For a Savior who redeems, rescues and pursues us to the depths and back
- For sanctification; all the pain and discipline that are making me more and more like Jesus
- For parents who love the Lord first, each other second, and the rest of us third
- For parents who show me how to love others well
- For skype
- For my family, immediate, extended and not-actually-related-to-me-at-all
- That the Lord was not willing to let my brother go, but rescued him in February from his drug addiction
- That the Lord has firmly held my family in His hand every day since then
- That Matt is alive today
- That 9 months of him being in jail have passed, and only 9 months remain
- That Matt has renewed His relationship with Jesus Christ, and that he is allowing the Lord to work in his life and redeem this situation
- For Cherokee, Troll, Justice, Red, and all the other men that have come to a fuller understanding of who Jesus is through Matt being in jail
- For my sister-in-love, and her courage and strength through these past months
- For laughter, and the healing it brings
- For friends, and the joy that they bring to my life each day
- For a job that I love (most of the time) 🙂
- That my co-workers are more interested in knowing Jesus than in getting tasks done
- That we get to pursue the fulfillment of the Great Commission every day
- For my awesome, faithful team of ministry partners
- For a pastor who preaches truth, even when it hurts
- That the Lord has provided an apartment that is more than I ever could have asked for
- That Jesus is enough to satisfy my heart; my longings, my hurts and my deepest desires, and that He is the binder-up of the broken-hearted
- For chocolate, and specifically for dark chocolate
- For a mind that is continaully learning
- That God has given us His word, and that it is living and active
- For Scripture and the way it speaks to every situation in my life
- For my friends around the world (Germany, Ukraine, South Africa, East Asia, etc)
- For airplanes
- For the opportunity to travel and see the great world that God created for His glory and for our enjoyment
- For a place to come home to
- For my car
- For good food
- For doctors who know what they are doing
- For 24 years of my small blind eye remaining healthy
- For wise counsel
- For my church
- For spring, summer, fall and winter
- For tears
- That the Lord is my Jehovah-Jireh
- For dancing, singing and jubilation
- For technology
- For the World, and God’s heart for the people in it
- That this world is not all there is….that my hope and home are still to come
- That though I now see dimly, as though in a mirror, one day I will see clearly, face to face
- That my purpose in life is to enjoy God and glorify Him forever (I mean really, can it get any better than that?)
- That the Lord is the creator of each day, and that whatever this coming year may bring forth, I can rejoice and be glad in it, no matter what!
What are you thankful for today?
that we get to reunite in January! ❤
My Precious Granddaughter,
I’m thankful for all these things and especially YOU. What a great witness you have.
We gathered today with about 75 other Neely family members. Wish you had been able to be with us.
I love you very much,
Grannie
Hey sweetie! You are such a precious young lady. I am so proud to know you. What a fantastic list! Colin and are settled now in Thailand (actually he is in Yemen for the next three months) but are able to give monthly to your ministry. Let me know who to call and I’ll make it happen. I’ll be praying for Matt too! Love you guys!
